Best day EVAH.

So today started off with me putting on one of my new favorite outfits that I have put together this past week because I have rediscovered my love for J-Punk clothes and the fact that wearing just a t-shirt and jeans makes me sad. I went down to Japanese class for a chapter test and since I got done early, I chatted with some other classmates while we waited for friends and stuff. Just then, one of the guys in my class called me over and handed me this fuzzy red...thing. He asks me if I liked the GazettE, which is freakin' love, and I realized it was the limited edition of their old NIL album and I almost had a HEART ATTACK.

Okay, so after getting this amazing present, I went to english (boring as usual), then theatre (okay as usual), and then to an awesome lunch with Rachel that included two shrimp veggie wrap things with delicious mac and cheese and some raspberry nestea~ (-^^-)

Afternoon and I chill out in my outfit and we watched some anime (always makes a day great), took a small nap and at 4, sold "Ah My Buddha" to an old classmate. Finally! I bought it on a whim at Daisho con and it's okay, but not really in my tastes, so I'm glad I got most of my money back, which will go into a fund to buy a SEXPOT ReVeNGe jacket! Come on, Christmas!

Dinner time! Went with Shanan to Noodles and Company for the second time in my life. My first time wasn't the greatest, but I don't remember it too well...Maybe it was too awful and I repressed it...Or it was just too long ago. (laugh)

Anyway, so I had really good mushroom stroganov noodles and skipped the Cold Stone we were thinking about getting because I was too full and it is WAY too overpriced. It is good, though. Day ended now with a shower, finally putting laundry away, and watching Friends with my roommate. Good day.

Anime-wise, I finished Spice and Wolf I & II and it is so good. (O.O) Definitely recommend.

So! To celebrate getting the NIL album, our videos (multiple!) of the night are Nausea and Shudder (live) by the GazettE and Mitsu no Yoake by Arai Akino!

And here's my outfit!

Think of ALL the titles!!!

So that's my new favorite meme up there...(^^) I don't know why, maybe its the character or something. Anyway, lately its just been classes and going on about my daily life. I got to see family member's I haven't seen for years and years over Thanksgiving break so that was fun. Did karaoke and just hang out at home. Also found out I might be going to Japan this summer so yay!

What else? I don't think there's been much going on really. New anime from Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

Uh...Oh! I don't know how I forgot but I went to Daisho Con in November and I got to wear Sebastian for the first time! It was strangely fun to follow around my Ciel and hold his train because it was way too long to walk around with. I feel like we got a lot more pictures after we started doing that. ( ^o^ ) Yay for not sleeping! We did get a nice two room suite though, so hooraaaay~ I did, however, get locked out at one point and I was tired enough to just get really depressed and sit in the hallway...But it was all okay in the end!

I also got a new Vampire Knight messenger bag so I'm wearing it around campus like a boss...

Anything else...I can't really think of much since its almost 3 AM but watching anime with Shanan (new friend from college) is fun. (-^^-) Maid-sama!!!

Anywho, video of the night is...The Suicide Circus by the GazettE from their new album TOXIC that I got too! Kyaaaa~~~!!!

If Minecraft had Gijinka...

My friend Moko showed this to me...Its so adorable! I want both of those outfits now...Especially that Enderman hat. (>w<)

Well...

So...Its been awhile since I blogged, which isn't a real surprise really, but I'm a little sad because I was going to blog my entire vacation except I missed the last two days ish...Gomen.

After that, we really only went to Chicago, had some awesome food at Mitsuwa as usual, got my hair cut nicely at a Korean place and then went home. Vacation over. (=w=)

The entire rest of summer vacation consisted of...working. I had a full time job the entire time, 40 hours a week, packing tea. Yes, just packing tea. I would take a box, fold it, put a tray in, put tea bags in, close it, and then put it in a tote. Rinse and repeat for eight hours. Yay! Well, at least I made money! During the last three weeks, though, I got to be upstairs on a computer but I had a huge excel sheet with 9490 lines and the info was all mixed up in every line so I had to organize every single one...It was interesting...Of course...I did spend some of the time watching anime on half of the screen...heh. (grin)

What else...We went to Wausaubi Con which was okay...really small...Eh. But I got a lot of Black Butler stuff for my birthday so yay!

I am now the proud of owner of tons of new anime! I love anime sales on Amazon. (>w<)

Hmm...Anything else happen? I'm back at college now, so I kind of just putz around now...Oh! I bought the bass I've been wanting...My ESP LTD F-154DX! I was so excited to play it...And then realized I need high gauge strings...So now I'm waiting for new strings to ship to my dorm...(sigh) Its nice that me working paid off so well. (=w=)

Let's see, what else. Not much really. Also, its the time of the year again where people are getting colds and stuff, so please get plenty of sleep and stay warm everyone!

This post's video is...freddiew's new video!

And another video because I haven't posted in a while! NOBODY by Wonder Girls. I know its older but I kind just "re-discovered" it again. I don't remember where I heard it before though. Maybe karaoke or something.

Vacation Days [ 11-14]

So...obviously blogging everyday isn't going at all...Oh well. (laugh)

Day 11!

I went to see my friend Rebecca at her house and it was so weird because I never went to her house that often when I lived in Los Angeles, but it was so awesome to see her~I'm finally about as tall as her! She used to be so tall to me...And her brothers! I remember when I first met them, they were tiny~ I went to most kick her younger brother's ass in CoD but maybe it was the TV or I haven't played in a while or maybe just because Black Ops sucks that I didnt win a round, but I came in first place when I played online multiplayer...Not sure how that works.

After, I think we went to dinner and...Uh...Went to bed? Not sure...(laugh)

Day 12!

So after seeing Rebecca, I went to see my friend Gabi at her house. Geez...It didn't change at all in these six years so it was really nostalgic. We talked a bunch and half watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...Which made no sense to me since I stopped reading after the fourth book. I tried reading the fifth and sixth I think but I kind of just...Read the words while nothing made sense. Oh well.

After that we went to this really awesome dim sum restaurant called Din Tai Fung. Really good food and tea. Really, bad tea with your food just ruins the meal in my opinion. When we were done, we went to the half and half place again and I had another one of those milk pudding drinks...So good...( >w< )

Day 13!

Woke up...Got some breakfast...Went to the airport. While we were going through customs, my dad called me over because there was a lady from Japan who spoke no English and didn't know you couldn't bring water through. Maybe she was traveling for the first time? Oh my god, speaking Japanese under pressure is so hard! I was so nervous and embarrassed...But through some charades and bad Japanese, I think I got the message through to her...I asked my friend after about what I should have said and it was a sentence I knew...Ugh. Pressure.

So me and mom were on a later flight than the rest of the family and we had to sit around for five hours waiting for our flight...We spent at least twenty minutes trying to find a plug so we could use our computers and most of that time involved no internet. There was this older guy who I heard starting to sneeze so I looked over and he pinched his nose...And started sounding like he was laughing, hyperventilating, and crying at the same time...It was hilarious and I really wish I got it on tape...I also watched a guy almost walk into the women's bathroom...

After our first plane ride over to San Francisco, we were supposed to have thirty minutes to go to our next plane but since our first flight took off late and landed late, we had about 17 minutes. My dad had told us the terminal was just off to the side...little did he know the map he was looking at was VERY zoomed out and it took ten minutes of rigorous running with lots of bags to get there. The captain and lady that was supposed to take out tickets were about to close then door when I shouted for her to wait and she went "YES! YOU MADE IT!". Apparently the captain had waited for us~ ( ^-^ )

When we found our seats, this guy from the row in front had moved into it so he could have more room but then he saw us and went "AWWW! REALLY?!" and moved back. Uh...Sorry we made our flight?

Made it back to Chicago...Now back to the house we stayed in on the first day...Ugh, I felt so sick...and I seem to be getting carsick easier...It also didn't help that I didn't eat the whole day except for breakfast and I haven't been sleeping enough the entire vacation.

Day 14!

We went to get haircuts today since I really, really needed one. My roots grew out so I have orange mostly with black on top...According my cousin, I have pudding hair. (laugh) Luckily, despite the terrible dye job it had become, after getting my hair cut, it turned into very stylish highlights~

The house we're staying in also got internet, yay~ So now I'm blogging and watching The Proposal with the family, even if I've seen it 8 times. They haven't seen it yet, okay?

Random Thoughts:

I wonder if I'm coming down with something...(sigh) I'll just...go to bed before 3 am tonight...Really get some sleep for once...

Oh, and I'm totally getting Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Video of the night! Bruno Mars Grenade Parody by Key of Awesome! I decided to go with a little comedy tonight and the fact that it was already open in my tabs.

Vacation Days [ 6-10 ]

I'm really bad about blogging daily, aren't I? (laugh) I'm on vacation! I have excuses!

So Day 6!

As I mentioned before, we were dragged to Hoover Dam, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It wasn't extremely exciting though, and apparently I had a pissed off face for most of it. I don't remember what I was unhappy about though...Then again, people tell me I usually have a permanent pissed off face anyway. Honestly, I'm not upset all the time, you guys. (laugh)

Day 7 through 8!

I'm not going to do these days individually because I don't really remember them, nor did we do much. I did realize how much I like shopping because I actually found clothes I like! I usually don't like shopping because the stores we go to back home don't usually have anything I like but I guess Las Vegas are more into style than hunting gear...I got a nice pair of gray jeans from Forever 21 and lots of new rings and a belt from Macy's. I love that store now. Macy's. Forever 21 is okay, but I don't really find anything I like there. It's so...girly.

I did get into a big argument with my mom in the streets of Las Vegas but I think we worked it out. ( ^-^ )

Hmm...Oh, we went to see the show outside of Treasure Island which was really cool. It's short and simple but there were still people jumping off the top of sinking ships and fireworks and explosions, so it was awesome. Plus it was free, even if we waited 40 minutes to see it so we wouldn't get stuck in the middle of a tall crowd and miss all of it.

And we went to Caesar's Palace, which has the most epic mall inside ever. They had a three story tall H&M and my mom bought me the most adorable Hello Kitty plushie from there. I know its a clothing store, but I really didn't see anything I liked. What I liked was from Armani Exchange next door with an epic jacket but it was $130...And I also found a store called Silver Dagger in the other mall which is COMPLETELY in my style but its a brand celebrities wear...And the jeans were $120...I want those jeans!

Day 9!

We left out awesome resort and drove back here to LA but on the way we ate more In-N-Out, which was even more amazing hot off the grill, and then went to an outlet mall where buses full of tourists from China were shopping too...Oh my god, Coach Factory store was a freakin' battlefield. There were men holding six bags in one hand for the women while everyone scrambled to grab things. People, they're bags, just get one, Coach isn't going to burn down tomorrow. Mom also bought me a sweet shirt from Guess, a brand I love for some reason...I wanted this other one originally, but this one is really nice too. ( ^-^ )

That evening, we went to go see some of my parent's colleagues who retired a few months ago. I like them because they have this...grandpa/grandma feel. We also went to the ocean though it was freezing...And windy. We walked in a circle...That's about it. (laugh)

I have internet in this hotel!

Day 10!

Went to go visit my cousin who I was never really close to but after today, I felt like we talked a lot more. ( ^-^ )

Not much really happened, but I did get a nose bleed in the car randomly...It didn't last very long though, so yay. Also went to an awesome sushi restaurant and got two giant bowls of Chirashi. $35 bucks a bowl! It was really good, but I was feeling a little carsick so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted. Still awesome though.

My cousin also brought us to this little shop that sells bubble tea and stuff but they're specialty is milk drinks. Sooooo good~Its called Half and Half Tea House I think and I got this drink where they use milk with caramel and tapioca pearls and pudding...Amazing. Go try it, if anyone is in the area.

Random thoughts:

Going to see a friend tomorrow~Hopefully I'll get to kick her brother's butt in CoD in my new clothes and accessories too~ I also really want to make sure we go to Little Tokyo so I can find that shop that sells Sexpot Revenge clothes. I don't care if they're expensive...I'm getting something.

Haven't gotten that camera yet...

Second note to self: Figure out new haircut by Wednesday.

Video of the night! Tsubomi by MARIA. I didn't know they're not active anymore due to their contract ending...Hmm...

Vacation Days [ 4-5 ]

So I had to take a few minutes to figure out what happened which days...Which made me realize I really should just blog daily instead of in chunks like this...But I'm so lazy~~~Well, I'll see if I can get on the whole daily blogging today...

Anyways! Day 4!

We were all so...lazy. The resort is ridiculously nice, like separate bathrooms, full kitchen with pots, dishes, utensils, etc., washer and dryer, a HUGE flat screen TV in every room with so many channels, and of course, Wi-Fi. So yeah, no one really wanted to go anywhere. Plus, it was so hot. Yay for AC. Eventually, we did go out to go to this outlet mall outside Las Vegas and it made me remember what ACTUAL malls should look like, not the dinky little shed back home. I didn't really see anything I liked, since I'm not a big clothes shopper, so I mostly followed my mom and my cousin around. If only they had a Gamestop or electronics or bookstore or SOMETHING, I would've been able to get what I needed...Like a working pair of headphones. You know, I find it amazing how long they can shop in Coach when 4/5ths of the store is just floor and all the merchandise only lines the walls. I guess I can't really say much, since I can spend forever in Gamestop or Borders.

Well, we came back and did a bit of grocery shopping since we have the kitchen. Woot to home-made food on vacation. ( ^o^ )

Hot pot for dinner~ <3

Day 5!

Uh...I did nothing. I literally did not step out of the hotel room all day. I wrote some of the fanfiction me and my friend started like...four years ago on a whim. I hope that doesn't make me seem like a HUGE fangirl, because I'm really not. The only time I fangirl is while reading Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and at the GazettE. Honestly.

So, I spent all day doing that, watching TV, being connected to the internet world in general, and playing Minecraft. I thought by now I would've gotten sick of that game but no matter what, I always find something to do on there that takes hours...Yeah...Maybe I shouldn't be the one hosting the server...But if my laptop explodes from it, I'll have a reason to get a new laptop, right? (evil laugh)

Random thoughts:

I haven't been sleeping at all here...I'll go to bed really late but always wake up really early. I don't think my body understands that when I'm extra tired, my internal alarm should not go off...I went to bed last night way earlier than I have and woke up even earlier than usual...(facepalm)

Maybe its because I'm not at home. I'm pretty sure this happened to me when I moved to college too.

I think today my parents plan on dragging us to Hoover Dam...Which I really don't see the point of. We take forever to drive there, look at the thing, then leave. I'd rather follow my mom through the Coach store again...

Oh, note to self: Buy a camera, because I really need one.

Video of the day! It is...(looks through playlists)...Lucifer by SHINee! I actually DON'T listen to them, but my friend does and I decided to look them up one day, so this is pretty much the only song I know from them. Its not bad, though I'm not a fan of their haircuts. At all. Sorry, I still love j-punk. (grin)

Vacation Days [ 1-3 ]

So I didn't have internet access till now, excluding the random bits of wi-fi when we were in restaurants and such, but now I can document my vacation! Yay!

So let's get started with Day 1!

Since I've been working everyday for the past two weeks, I haven't been doing much, but weekends have been good. ( ^-^ ) On Thursday, I got to leave work early and we all drove to Chicago to stay in my parents' friend's house, though it didn't wi-fi...but it did have a very nice TV with surround sound and movies. And a very, very comfy bed. Not much happened really...Well, my neck was sore because I was reading manga in the car on the way with my neck craned pretty low. Its only starting to feel better now.

Day 2!

Well, I didn't really sleep on day 1 because our flight was at 6 am and we had to leave for the airport at 4. I slept for...an hour and 45 minutes maybe? It was a little stressful because the cab driver couldn't find the house at all, despite having a GPS and my dad decided to just drive to the airport and shell out the money for the parking spot but just as we loaded everything into the car and pulled out, the cab found us and we had to unload and reload into THAT car. (facepalm)

Super long plane ride later, we immediately went to eat some good asian food and went to the mall to do a bit of shopping, though I didn't have money on me so I couldn't get anything...Uh...just ate food then and went to the hotel where I had no internet...I was a little sad to be honest.

And across the hall from my room (I was staying with my cousin and brother in one room and my parents had the other) my mom heard...you know..."noises" and asked us if it was the TV. Went to listen...nope, wasn't the TV. (laugh)

Day 3!

Went to eat more amazing food, did a little shopping, had some mango shaved ice, and then the dentist. The dentist back home kept telling me that I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled ASAP and that if I wanted my one crooked tooth straightened, I would have to get braces. I come to LA where the dentist is a good friend of my dad's and he tells me my wisdom teeth haven't even come out and that there's no rush AND he can straighten my tooth by adjusting my retainer. No wonder my parents like us coming here for the dentist instead.

After teeth cleaning, we went to the GREATEST ramen restaurant ever. Foo Foo Tei, I think its listed on google, is so amazing...Totally authentic Japanese food there, plus they have so much manga. ( ^-^ )

Then...the most boring car ride ever. It was only 3.5 hours to Las Vegas but oh my god it was boring. In most cars, you can find a slight comfortable piece of window sill or something to put your head on to sleep, but not the rented one we have...I also don't have a jacket so no make-shift pillow...I tried hard to sleep...but the bumpy road didn't help either...Well, now we're at the resort and wow...Its pretty much a condo...And internet! Yay! (thumbs up)

Random thoughts:

I realized these past few days I'm kind of a pessimist, since I tend to think of the worst case scenario...After having a talk with my cousin about how I'm not going to just die or something terrible is going to sweep the planet (I'm really messed up during my monthly times...hormones!), I realized I should think more positively and that there's really no point to worry about ridiculous things that can be avoided by being aware and such. I feel tons better too now that my monthly times of evil have passed. I'm going to enjoy life damn it! (fist pump)

Manga highlights:

Kaichou wa Maid-sama chapter 61 is out! And oh my god I was trying so hard not to squeal in the dentist's office! I was so anxious because I was at the climax of the chapter when it was my turn to get my teeth cleaned so I had something to look forward to, even if it was the last page. Fujiwara-sensei never ceases to amaze and cause me to go fangirl at the most inappropriate times...(laugh)

-SPOILER START-

>
>
>
>

Usui can't transfeeeeeer~~~ (>//<) We've waited so long for them to get together and now they will separate?! Unless Misaki transfers too...but that can't happen either! They'll probably work this out...Though I guess I expected this to happen since Usui and Misaki's family situations are so different...I wouldn't be surprised if Usui really had a fiancee and such. Ah, Fujiwara-sensei, please continue doing your fine work. (bow)

>
>
>
>

-SPOILER END-

And now the video of the night is Dance With The Devil by Breaking Benjamin. I'm not sure if I've put a non-asian MV on here...First for everything! ( ^-^ ) I was going to put Untouched by The Veronicas because that was what I listened to on the car ride here but no embedding was allowed...Anywho, my friend from the lovely country of Canada showed this to me, thanks Moko!

VORTEX

the GazettE released their new single, VORTEX, yesterday and I got it on the same day, which was such a nice thing to come home to after work. (^.^) My iPod was being a little difficult so I couldn't get it on there until this morning (rushing before going to work) but now I have something to listen to on the way~

I'm a little sad they decided to bundle the poster with the dvd limited edition instead of the regular edition, but I got really awesome stickers of all the members and I have an extra track so yay~ (thumbs up) I just don't know what to do with the stickers without being sad I permanently stuck it somewhere...

I feel like I know how my parents feel everyday after working...since I work with them now and all day with only evenings, no wonder they want to do their own thing after...And no wonder people go drinking after work, you sometimes just need it...Well, I'll wait till I'm legal...

Anywho! Today is the manga club picnic for my friends still in high school and I was still invited along with the other old graduates so hopefully we'll make the last half hour or so after work...We'll TRY to drive under the speed limit...try...not very hard.

And to finish this little rushed post, VORTEX PV in HD. Lots of caps there.

Convention from...Three weeks ago?

Yeah, I'm alive. (^.^) Since it's the end of the school year, it got a little hectic, especially with the convention that close, I haven't blogged...Plus, I kind of kept forgetting, haha. Uh...Okay, so!

The convention! I put off writing this post because I was planning to put up a picture but never got around to it so too bad! NoBrand Con X, super awesome~ I finally bought Azumanga Daioh on DVD so yay, and the bonus: The voice actress for Nyamo was there so she signed it! (omgah~) There was also Colleen Clinkenbeard there alongside Monica Rial so she signed it too even though she wasn't in it, but that's okay, though its definitely a little weird...(^o^) I wish I knew they both played in Black Blood Brothers though because then I would've had them sign that too...Oh well.

So I designed and made an original White Mage cosplay this time since I've been wearing the robe for...quite a while. I think it turned out okay, and apparently the group is going to go for a street style Final Fantasy group now, so yay~ The half skirt definitely came in handy when we were in the anime viewing room for NINE hours. It was so cold and we ended up rearranging half of the chairs for makeshift beds and my skirt acted as a blanket with my bandana as a pillow. Plus, we had a bunch of empty ramune bottles scattered on the floor so we looked like drunks passed out in there. (-^.^-)

Eventually, we did go back to my dorm to shower at 6 AM and we had to creep super quiet because the rest of the group were still sleeping after coming back to the room way earlier than us freaks. (laugh)

Hmm...what else...Oh! I tied for second in the Call of Duty tournament, which was so satisfying because I was the only girl and...Oh warning: FPS terminology coming~ I was put into final stand, which I never use because we were required to use the default classes to be fair, and even though there were only three other guys, I killed five of them while crawling out in the open looking for cover, stood BACK UP, ran to a corner, and used a predator missile. It was pretty awesome, and even more so when one of the guys said, "You're STILL there?!" Awesome day.

Eto...The con weekends kind of blur together a lot...Not because I get drunk or whatever, we just do a lot of stuff and lack of sleep probably doesn't help, hm? Well, when we were eating in the very nice and convenient hotel concession place with cheap hot dogs and soda and stuff, I stared out the big window that was by the artist's alley and just waved...It was so funny to see people's confused faces and I was surprised how many waved back~ There was a Tenten that waved like...three times. She was my favorite waver. (^o^)

I don't think much has happened since then...Just getting ready for the end of the year, homework and stuff...The year's gone by pretty fast and it scared me a little before but when I think about it, I've done a lot and plus, I'm still only 18 and THAT'S taken forever so...yeah...I did a bit of growing up...and hormone leveling, ha ha.

Let's see...what should I put at the bottom of this? AH! The GazettE is coming out with a new single, VORTEX, on the 25th, so support please! Hopefully this preview STAYS on youtube.

Note to self...

Make an actual blog post this week.

Saturday, March 26, 2011

Hola~

Huh, I haven't blogged in a while...Well, I guess I haven't had much to say really. Just more video games and stuff...Oh, and spring break~ Spent almost the entire week with my best friends and playing soooo much Minecraft. Which also meant that I didn't work on my cosplay at all and theres maybe two or three weeks left until the con. I am so screwed. (>.<)

Aside from that I guess...Minecraft is ridiculously addicting. I don't even know why but I can't stop playing it for some reason. Rawr. Ah well, at least I'm getting my money's worth.

Oh, so I'm blogging from Chicago right now because we're here to pick up my cousin who's visiting from Taiwan. With my Grandma here, that makes two people from there...Maybe we'll get the entire family here eventually, haha.

Also went to Mitsuwa, this Japanese supermarket/bookstore/food court/everything else and got a copy of LaLa DX from January because it features Kaichou wa Maid-sama! but I realized after that it wasn't serialized in DX but the main LaLa...Oh well. And also got the 12th volume of KWMS. Its in Japanese, but I figure when I finish learning the language, I'll be able to read most of it and I'll be able to buy the Japanese manga instead of the overpriced US ones...No wonder we care so much about our manga here...like not leaving fingerprints...We're paying twice as much...Not to say they don't care for their books in Japan of course.

Speaking of Japan, I hope they pull through the earthquake from about two weeks ago. Donate if you can, or even keeping them in your thoughts is good.

On the topic of music: As of yesterday, I've been addicted to BoA's "Energetic". Its from 2009 so I guess it can be considered "old" but its good and I really want to learn the dance...

Action City

So before all the awesomeness, we sat around for an hour and a half waiting for Nick's friend to reply to see if he wanted to go, but he was sick so that didn't happen, then we got lost getting there but...

It was fun~We played Laser Tag and the guns looked like the scanners for price checking in supermarkets, but that's okay, even though there was this boy who just camped in a corner the entire time. Campers are annoying games, I didn't think they'd be so annoying in real life too. There was also bumper cars, though they were more like royal thrones on hovercraft tube things...Its weird to explain. (^3^)

Oh, and I finally drove go-karts for the first time! Since we were all tall enough, we got to go at top speed and it almost gave me more respect for those NASCAR racers because even though they just drive in circles, trying to pass another vehicle is freakin' hard!

Hmm...Oh, and lots of shooting games and DDR; finally, I get to play it on the machine instead of the mats.

After that, we had to drive about twenty minutes away from school to drop off Nick's sister and the Japanese exchange student they're hosting so his mom could take them home, but before that we got lost trying to get on the right highway and I'm pretty sure we transferred between four different freeways. (laugh)

And I got treated to Arby's, which was really nice. (^^) I think the lady on the other end of the order box got really annoyed because we couldn't decide what we wanted and sat there staring at the menu for a good five to ten minutes, but it ended up with him just picking for me. I don't eat at Arby's...ever.

We listened to really loud, pretty good Metallica on the way back and then had to walk a mile from the parking lot that the University use to the dorms and it ended up to be just a really good day. Now I'm just sore because turning on Go-karts made me strain...

Long time no see...

Hmm...it has been a while since I've blogged. I think I've mentioned this before but I keep thinking I posted a few days ago then when I actually look, its been weeks...(=.=)

Well, what's happened? Not much, really. We've been having a study group thing on Friday's for Japanese even though every time, we play games or watch stupid videos, like the bad dubbing of Ghost Stories or DBZ Abridged...Well, its all Nick's fault anyway. (^o^)

Along with study groups we've been going to Japanese Coffee Hour afterward where we just talk in Japanese with students and teachers and stuff. Last Friday they had this Japanese Cultural Society party thing and I went with friends but after eating a takoyaki (which was very good, by the way), I ended up leaving before they started the movie because I didn't know anyone but two people and just sitting there was kind of...awkward. I guess I'm not made for big parties like that.

Um...what else...We finally finished Cowboy Bebop. My goodness it was weird. I think if you're watching it for plot, just watch the first episode and last two. If you care about the side characters, watch the last five. (><)b

Oh, I got invited to go this Action City place or wherever by Nick to go kart and play laser tag and stuff, so hopefully I can go...

And...Well, I'm thinking about a theater major now for the technical stuff, which would be fun, but I guess I'll think about it for a little more...I also have to pay to go watch the opera our stagecraft class was building the set for just so I can write a paper for class...Why do we have to pay? Oh well...(sigh)

I hope its not annoying to text someone for no reason...I wouldn't want to get annoying...

Oh, I re-read "Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu" which is so cute...hopefully they upload more chapters soon...And I'm waiting patiently for the new chapter of "Kaichou wa Maid-sama", thanks for the hard work, translators. (^^)

Home~

So I went home last weekend, right before Valentine's day (quite possibly the most useless holiday in my life currently), and it was fun, even if it had the usual ups and downs from just being around family. Uh...Happy late Chinese New Year~ I'm so happy my parents still give me new year's money despite being technically an adult...(^3^)

Hmm...Well, school's been pretty...well, not much has happened. I dubbed myself "Brigade Leader" and started a group for watching anime since I really don't like the already existing one on campus. Also, our brigade has three other branches because we have a goal of over 80 animes to watch by the end of the semester. (^o^)

I went to play games over at Nick's last week, though it was really meant to borrow some games from him. I had gone up the huge hill to my dorm which takes forever and there's also this really long route after the hill to my room, and after I got back in, I checked my email and he said I could go pick it up...Well...he lives down the hill...(sigh). Walked down and ended up staying there a bit to watch him play Lord of the Rings Online, which I won't play no matter how many times he asks me to, and he also made me watch Community which is actually a pretty funny show. (^^)b

Playing Brotherhood and Final Fantasy XIII now...I gave up on Black Ops because 1. I think its annoying and 2. It won't stop freezing my PS3...

Oh, I forgot my winter jacket at home when I came back to school...smart with it being winter and all...so my parents mailed it to me quick and even the DVD set of the drama I also forgot~ <3 Sankyuu~

Mmmm...And our current anime is Cowboy Bebop, which we hope to finish by the end of the week...Aaaaand I found this, Kumikyoku Nico Nico Douga:

Uh...

Huh...What have I done this week? Well, my english class is terrible and I really want to transfer out but there's really no where TO transfer to...I mean, I get that its important to be diverse and learn about racism but when we do an activity with questions like "If you are white, take a step forward." "If your ancestors were lynched, take a step back." "If you have received welfare, food stamps, etc, take a step back." Honestly, the entire activity is about how Whites have an advantage and its...offending and uncomfortable. Sure, its a mostly White school, and I'm okay with that; some of my closest friends are White, but with an activity like this? And a presentation about how colored people have shorter lives and make less money? It kind of hurts...Ah well, I'll get through this. At least there are people who sit around me who feel the same way. (-^^-) Thanks you guys.

Onto positive things! Hmm...I hung out with Nick on...Monday? Tuesday...? I think it was Wednesday...I don't know. (>o<) I lose track of my days just because things kind of...blend together, I suppose. It was fun, played Need for Speed, which is hard...He made me play Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which I'm thinking about getting maybe, just because I like class based shooters, plus being medic is fun; getting to zap with the defibrillator. Oh, and he made me watch "Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog" which was surprisingly funny, if not weird. Song were good though.

Hmm...Oh, our fine arts building set on fire...at least one of the stages did, which just so happens to be the stage my stagecraft class was helping set up for the opera...Hopefully the frame me and the team built didn't burn...

Yesterday I went to a classmate's house to study Japanese with some other friends, but we really didn't study all that much...We started with this one Japanese movie...but it was too disturbingly weird so we stopped...I can't remember the title. Then we watched Shinobi which was REALLY good but it had horrible dubbing. Loved the ending~ I kind of want to find it on DVD or something. Oh, and when his wife came home she made us all English chili...It was soooo good~<3

Today I'm just playing Final Fantasy XIII...I really need to finish this so I can watch the XIII-2 trailer...Oh, and I finally did laundry after two weeks. I mean, I have enough clothes for that long but I really had to do it today because I was running out...(sigh)

And I don't care if everyone else says he looks like a girl, Yashamaru is so hot.

Weekend~

Hey, so this weekend we were going to watch Scott Pilgrim down at the student union thing on campus but the HUGE hill we have to go up and down everyday was iced over so if we made it down alive, we probably wouldn't have come back up...(=3=) So instead we just stayed in my room and watched lots of anime, which I think is a much better choice anyway.

Yesterday, we had planned to go to the mall but then in the afternoon, we realized that we didn't actually need or really want to go so we just hung out and watched more anime. (laughs) We seem to be doing that a lot lately, which is perfectly fine with me, especially now that I have formed the University Anime Brigade. Sadly, its not a real club, though I'm okay with it since it means we don't have to deal with all the paperwork and having set meetings all the time. (^V^)

Today has been a pretty long day...Class at 9 and a tiny break for lunch before class again at 2 then working in the shop for stagecraft till 5...dinner...then two hours with my group to write a paper...(sigh) Hopefully we won't have to get together for papers anymore; I actually want to do something with my evenings.

And I've been spending a lot of time playing Mabinogi...I'm kind of surprised how much I've missed it. Anyone else play?

Second day

So today wasn't very exciting...Well, I got to go to Japanese class, so that made things pretty good, even though everyone that was in my class last semester isn't in my class THIS semester. (sigh) Well, I think one of them might transfer to my class.

Speaking of which...I saw him come out of his dorm today and it was kind of funny because I called his name and he kind of stopped...turned...stared...and then just smiled...It was such an...anime moment I think. ( ^.^ ) Uh...yeah...enough about that.

My English class feels like it going to be a little iffy...Apparently we're going to talk about racial diversity and stuff...the entire time...That and today she lectured about how to read...Apparently we have to read things five times. I probably will barely read it once. ( =.= )

Sigh...

So nothing really happened on Friday, Saturday was kind of the same...Well, I packed tea again for nine hours. It wasn't that bad, but I kind of wish the other students who were also doing it talked more...You'd think high schoolers would.

Yesterday, I had to move back into my dorm...(sigh) Its not that I don't like being here, but being at home for five weeks made me a little homesick again after coming back. I went to Minnesota to get my hair done~ Now its blond and looks like the GazettE's Kai's hair from the SHIVER PV. You know...just blond. He's the drummer, by the way. Oh, and listen to the GazettE. ( ^o^ )b

Well, today's the first day of classes and I didn't sleep much. I kept waking up every three hours thinking I was late. ( =.= )||| Well, its the first week so it shouldn't be TOO horrible. Wish me luck...

It is thursday

And I still haven't packed to go back to school...I should probably do that...and laundry.

I can't believe how fast this week went while the rest of the break went by ridiculously slow. I guess that's just how breaks go, right? "( =.= )"

Well, today I hung out with Cindy and Chris again, like monday, and we were supposed to have Kyle too but somehow that fell through...Anyway, we spent most of the day just playing Castle Crashers and Blur before going to Philly's for some subs. Not bad.

We're back at my place now, watching Chris play Assassin's Creed. Hmm...I might blog later if I figure out anything to write. ( ^.^ )b

Manga

So today I hung out with a few friends and we went to Barnes and Noble again, despite the one who was driving said he wouldn't go with me again just because when me and another friend, Cindy, shop, we take forever. We seem to do that at conventions too, trying to persuade each other to buy stuff. ( ^.^ )b

I ended up not buying any more books since I've gotten four this past week and I really don't have anymore money, but then Kyle decided that since he didn't get me a Christmas present, he bought me the huge Azumanga Daioh Omnibus~ So if you want to be technical, I got four books, just all wrapped up in one. Thanks Kyle~<3

I finally finished reading the first volume of Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, now I just need to buy the other ten books...(sigh) Being an otaku is so expensive...

I can't believe its Wednesday already...Almost time to go back to school...Its sad to think about...

Oh, and I added fish to my blog, the background is from Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Its an amazing manga/anime, definitely read/watch it!

む。。。

こんばんわ。。。

I should probably study my Japanese before the semester starts next Monday...but I don't have my books here. (sigh) I didn't think I would forget so much stuff over the five weeks. Oh well, the first week of class isn't too bad so I'll study then.

I can't believe my break is almost over...I've been at home for so long it feels like I haven't even been to college yet and I'm still in high school. Well, I come home enough that it doesn't really make a difference. At least I don't live states away or anything like that.

With my pyro flamethrower prop not even close to done, I was supposed to work on it more today but I just felt so meh. Played a little Mabinogi, read a tiny bit of manga before people online started chatting so I spent most of the day doing that. Hmm...

Now I'm watching Powerpuff Girls while I write, one of my favorite shows of all time. Dragonball Z Kai was on before but I didn't understand any of it since I missed the entire middle of the series. I guess there's not much I'm missing anyway. DBZ's always been fighting, yelling, dramatic pauses, more fighting and yelling, and then they win for a bit before another villain comes. Oh, Dragonball.

Uuuuggghhh...

So today was pretty fun hanging with people before going back to school, got the first volumes of "The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross" and "Vampire Knight", yay~ Some rock band, some castle crushers and then...we watched the last disc of "Claymore"...UGH. That was terrible!!! You know how you usually don't want the main characters to die? Everyone here wanted Raki to die...He's just...one of those characters you find annoyingly frustrating (kind of like Hope from FFXIII). Well, despite that, it was pretty fun yelling at the screen with people about how stupid it was all progressing. ( ^.^ ) Not saying that you shouldn't watch or read the series, but the ending was just...(sigh). To make things a little better, here's one of the worst animes of all time:

Gomen~

I don't know if you guys have noticed yet but...I tend to forgot I have a blog...(-^^-)U I get really distracted so...Anyway! Lately I've been looking for some new manga to start reading, preferably ones that are still coming out on the shelves so I can look forward to getting new books every month. If you have any recommendations, leave a comment~

I've been hanging out in college, not doing much, working hard to finally learn Japanese. Right now I'm on winter break and with only one week left, its a little sad to think about...-sigh- Its kind of funny to see people's faces when they ask me how long my break is and I say five weeks while they have one.

Hmm...What else...I think I've gotten sick of Modern Warfare 2...Its not a big surprise since I played for...a month or so straight since I didn't have much to do. This semester I'm probably going to be a lot more busy though, so I'll just stick to trying to finish Final Fantasy XIII...Why haven't I finished that?

Oh, for those of you who love it, Fujiwara-sensei (author of Kaichou wa Maid-sama!) has made a twitter for Misa-chan, so check it out. ^^
