Hey, so this weekend we were going to watch Scott Pilgrim down at the student union thing on campus but the HUGE hill we have to go up and down everyday was iced over so if we made it down alive, we probably wouldn't have come back up...(=3=) So instead we just stayed in my room and watched lots of anime, which I think is a much better choice anyway.
Yesterday, we had planned to go to the mall but then in the afternoon, we realized that we didn't actually need or really want to go so we just hung out and watched more anime. (laughs) We seem to be doing that a lot lately, which is perfectly fine with me, especially now that I have formed the University Anime Brigade. Sadly, its not a real club, though I'm okay with it since it means we don't have to deal with all the paperwork and having set meetings all the time. (^V^)
Today has been a pretty long day...Class at 9 and a tiny break for lunch before class again at 2 then working in the shop for stagecraft till 5...dinner...then two hours with my group to write a paper...(sigh) Hopefully we won't have to get together for papers anymore; I actually want to do something with my evenings.
And I've been spending a lot of time playing Mabinogi...I'm kind of surprised how much I've missed it. Anyone else play?
So today wasn't very exciting...Well, I got to go to Japanese class, so that made things pretty good, even though everyone that was in my class last semester isn't in my class THIS semester. (sigh) Well, I think one of them might transfer to my class.
Speaking of which...I saw him come out of his dorm today and it was kind of funny because I called his name and he kind of stopped...turned...stared...and then just smiled...It was such an...anime moment I think. ( ^.^ ) Uh...yeah...enough about that.
My English class feels like it going to be a little iffy...Apparently we're going to talk about racial diversity and stuff...the entire time...That and today she lectured about how to read...Apparently we have to read things five times. I probably will barely read it once. ( =.= )
So nothing really happened on Friday, Saturday was kind of the same...Well, I packed tea again for nine hours. It wasn't that bad, but I kind of wish the other students who were also doing it talked more...You'd think high schoolers would.
Yesterday, I had to move back into my dorm...(sigh) Its not that I don't like being here, but being at home for five weeks made me a little homesick again after coming back. I went to Minnesota to get my hair done~ Now its blond and looks like the GazettE's Kai's hair from the SHIVER PV. You know...just blond. He's the drummer, by the way. Oh, and listen to the GazettE. ( ^o^ )b
Well, today's the first day of classes and I didn't sleep much. I kept waking up every three hours thinking I was late. ( =.= )||| Well, its the first week so it shouldn't be TOO horrible. Wish me luck...
And I still haven't packed to go back to school...I should probably do that...and laundry.
I can't believe how fast this week went while the rest of the break went by ridiculously slow. I guess that's just how breaks go, right? "( =.= )"
Well, today I hung out with Cindy and Chris again, like monday, and we were supposed to have Kyle too but somehow that fell through...Anyway, we spent most of the day just playing Castle Crashers and Blur before going to Philly's for some subs. Not bad.
We're back at my place now, watching Chris play Assassin's Creed. Hmm...I might blog later if I figure out anything to write. ( ^.^ )b
So today I hung out with a few friends and we went to Barnes and Noble again, despite the one who was driving said he wouldn't go with me again just because when me and another friend, Cindy, shop, we take forever. We seem to do that at conventions too, trying to persuade each other to buy stuff. ( ^.^ )b
I ended up not buying any more books since I've gotten four this past week and I really don't have anymore money, but then Kyle decided that since he didn't get me a Christmas present, he bought me the huge Azumanga Daioh Omnibus~ So if you want to be technical, I got four books, just all wrapped up in one. Thanks Kyle~<3
I finally finished reading the first volume of Gentlemen's Alliance Cross, now I just need to buy the other ten books...(sigh) Being an otaku is so expensive... I can't believe its Wednesday already...Almost time to go back to school...Its sad to think about...
Oh, and I added fish to my blog, the background is from Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Its an amazing manga/anime, definitely read/watch it!
I should probably study my Japanese before the semester starts next Monday...but I don't have my books here. (sigh) I didn't think I would forget so much stuff over the five weeks. Oh well, the first week of class isn't too bad so I'll study then.
I can't believe my break is almost over...I've been at home for so long it feels like I haven't even been to college yet and I'm still in high school. Well, I come home enough that it doesn't really make a difference. At least I don't live states away or anything like that.
With my pyro flamethrower prop not even close to done, I was supposed to work on it more today but I just felt so meh. Played a little Mabinogi, read a tiny bit of manga before people online started chatting so I spent most of the day doing that. Hmm...
Now I'm watching Powerpuff Girls while I write, one of my favorite shows of all time. Dragonball Z Kai was on before but I didn't understand any of it since I missed the entire middle of the series. I guess there's not much I'm missing anyway. DBZ's always been fighting, yelling, dramatic pauses, more fighting and yelling, and then they win for a bit before another villain comes. Oh, Dragonball.
So today was pretty fun hanging with people before going back to school, got the first volumes of "The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross" and "Vampire Knight", yay~ Some rock band, some castle crushers and then...we watched the last disc of "Claymore"...UGH. That was terrible!!! You know how you usually don't want the main characters to die? Everyone here wanted Raki to die...He's just...one of those characters you find annoyingly frustrating (kind of like Hope from FFXIII). Well, despite that, it was pretty fun yelling at the screen with people about how stupid it was all progressing. ( ^.^ ) Not saying that you shouldn't watch or read the series, but the ending was just...(sigh). To make things a little better, here's one of the worst animes of all time:
I don't know if you guys have noticed yet but...I tend to forgot I have a blog...(-^^-)U I get really distracted so...Anyway! Lately I've been looking for some new manga to start reading, preferably ones that are still coming out on the shelves so I can look forward to getting new books every month. If you have any recommendations, leave a comment~
I've been hanging out in college, not doing much, working hard to finally learn Japanese. Right now I'm on winter break and with only one week left, its a little sad to think about...-sigh- Its kind of funny to see people's faces when they ask me how long my break is and I say five weeks while they have one.
Hmm...What else...I think I've gotten sick of Modern Warfare 2...Its not a big surprise since I played for...a month or so straight since I didn't have much to do. This semester I'm probably going to be a lot more busy though, so I'll just stick to trying to finish Final Fantasy XIII...Why haven't I finished that?
Oh, for those of you who love it, Fujiwara-sensei (author of Kaichou wa Maid-sama!) has made a twitter for Misa-chan, so check it out. ^^
