Vacation Days [ 11-14]

So...obviously blogging everyday isn't going at all...Oh well. (laugh)

Day 11!

I went to see my friend Rebecca at her house and it was so weird because I never went to her house that often when I lived in Los Angeles, but it was so awesome to see her~I'm finally about as tall as her! She used to be so tall to me...And her brothers! I remember when I first met them, they were tiny~ I went to most kick her younger brother's ass in CoD but maybe it was the TV or I haven't played in a while or maybe just because Black Ops sucks that I didnt win a round, but I came in first place when I played online multiplayer...Not sure how that works.

After, I think we went to dinner and...Uh...Went to bed? Not sure...(laugh)

Day 12!

So after seeing Rebecca, I went to see my friend Gabi at her house. Geez...It didn't change at all in these six years so it was really nostalgic. We talked a bunch and half watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...Which made no sense to me since I stopped reading after the fourth book. I tried reading the fifth and sixth I think but I kind of just...Read the words while nothing made sense. Oh well.

After that we went to this really awesome dim sum restaurant called Din Tai Fung. Really good food and tea. Really, bad tea with your food just ruins the meal in my opinion. When we were done, we went to the half and half place again and I had another one of those milk pudding drinks...So good...( >w< )

Day 13!

Woke up...Got some breakfast...Went to the airport. While we were going through customs, my dad called me over because there was a lady from Japan who spoke no English and didn't know you couldn't bring water through. Maybe she was traveling for the first time? Oh my god, speaking Japanese under pressure is so hard! I was so nervous and embarrassed...But through some charades and bad Japanese, I think I got the message through to her...I asked my friend after about what I should have said and it was a sentence I knew...Ugh. Pressure.

So me and mom were on a later flight than the rest of the family and we had to sit around for five hours waiting for our flight...We spent at least twenty minutes trying to find a plug so we could use our computers and most of that time involved no internet. There was this older guy who I heard starting to sneeze so I looked over and he pinched his nose...And started sounding like he was laughing, hyperventilating, and crying at the same time...It was hilarious and I really wish I got it on tape...I also watched a guy almost walk into the women's bathroom...

After our first plane ride over to San Francisco, we were supposed to have thirty minutes to go to our next plane but since our first flight took off late and landed late, we had about 17 minutes. My dad had told us the terminal was just off to the side...little did he know the map he was looking at was VERY zoomed out and it took ten minutes of rigorous running with lots of bags to get there. The captain and lady that was supposed to take out tickets were about to close then door when I shouted for her to wait and she went "YES! YOU MADE IT!". Apparently the captain had waited for us~ ( ^-^ )

When we found our seats, this guy from the row in front had moved into it so he could have more room but then he saw us and went "AWWW! REALLY?!" and moved back. Uh...Sorry we made our flight?

Made it back to Chicago...Now back to the house we stayed in on the first day...Ugh, I felt so sick...and I seem to be getting carsick easier...It also didn't help that I didn't eat the whole day except for breakfast and I haven't been sleeping enough the entire vacation.

Day 14!

We went to get haircuts today since I really, really needed one. My roots grew out so I have orange mostly with black on top...According my cousin, I have pudding hair. (laugh) Luckily, despite the terrible dye job it had become, after getting my hair cut, it turned into very stylish highlights~

The house we're staying in also got internet, yay~ So now I'm blogging and watching The Proposal with the family, even if I've seen it 8 times. They haven't seen it yet, okay?

Random Thoughts:

I wonder if I'm coming down with something...(sigh) I'll just...go to bed before 3 am tonight...Really get some sleep for once...

Oh, and I'm totally getting Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

Video of the night! Bruno Mars Grenade Parody by Key of Awesome! I decided to go with a little comedy tonight and the fact that it was already open in my tabs.

Vacation Days [ 6-10 ]

I'm really bad about blogging daily, aren't I? (laugh) I'm on vacation! I have excuses!

So Day 6!

As I mentioned before, we were dragged to Hoover Dam, which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It wasn't extremely exciting though, and apparently I had a pissed off face for most of it. I don't remember what I was unhappy about though...Then again, people tell me I usually have a permanent pissed off face anyway. Honestly, I'm not upset all the time, you guys. (laugh)

Day 7 through 8!

I'm not going to do these days individually because I don't really remember them, nor did we do much. I did realize how much I like shopping because I actually found clothes I like! I usually don't like shopping because the stores we go to back home don't usually have anything I like but I guess Las Vegas are more into style than hunting gear...I got a nice pair of gray jeans from Forever 21 and lots of new rings and a belt from Macy's. I love that store now. Macy's. Forever 21 is okay, but I don't really find anything I like there. It's so...girly.

I did get into a big argument with my mom in the streets of Las Vegas but I think we worked it out. ( ^-^ )

Hmm...Oh, we went to see the show outside of Treasure Island which was really cool. It's short and simple but there were still people jumping off the top of sinking ships and fireworks and explosions, so it was awesome. Plus it was free, even if we waited 40 minutes to see it so we wouldn't get stuck in the middle of a tall crowd and miss all of it.

And we went to Caesar's Palace, which has the most epic mall inside ever. They had a three story tall H&M and my mom bought me the most adorable Hello Kitty plushie from there. I know its a clothing store, but I really didn't see anything I liked. What I liked was from Armani Exchange next door with an epic jacket but it was $130...And I also found a store called Silver Dagger in the other mall which is COMPLETELY in my style but its a brand celebrities wear...And the jeans were $120...I want those jeans!

Day 9!

We left out awesome resort and drove back here to LA but on the way we ate more In-N-Out, which was even more amazing hot off the grill, and then went to an outlet mall where buses full of tourists from China were shopping too...Oh my god, Coach Factory store was a freakin' battlefield. There were men holding six bags in one hand for the women while everyone scrambled to grab things. People, they're bags, just get one, Coach isn't going to burn down tomorrow. Mom also bought me a sweet shirt from Guess, a brand I love for some reason...I wanted this other one originally, but this one is really nice too. ( ^-^ )

That evening, we went to go see some of my parent's colleagues who retired a few months ago. I like them because they have this...grandpa/grandma feel. We also went to the ocean though it was freezing...And windy. We walked in a circle...That's about it. (laugh)

I have internet in this hotel!

Day 10!

Went to go visit my cousin who I was never really close to but after today, I felt like we talked a lot more. ( ^-^ )

Not much really happened, but I did get a nose bleed in the car randomly...It didn't last very long though, so yay. Also went to an awesome sushi restaurant and got two giant bowls of Chirashi. $35 bucks a bowl! It was really good, but I was feeling a little carsick so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted. Still awesome though.

My cousin also brought us to this little shop that sells bubble tea and stuff but they're specialty is milk drinks. Sooooo good~Its called Half and Half Tea House I think and I got this drink where they use milk with caramel and tapioca pearls and pudding...Amazing. Go try it, if anyone is in the area.

Random thoughts:

Going to see a friend tomorrow~Hopefully I'll get to kick her brother's butt in CoD in my new clothes and accessories too~ I also really want to make sure we go to Little Tokyo so I can find that shop that sells Sexpot Revenge clothes. I don't care if they're expensive...I'm getting something.

Haven't gotten that camera yet...

Second note to self: Figure out new haircut by Wednesday.

Video of the night! Tsubomi by MARIA. I didn't know they're not active anymore due to their contract ending...Hmm...

Vacation Days [ 4-5 ]

So I had to take a few minutes to figure out what happened which days...Which made me realize I really should just blog daily instead of in chunks like this...But I'm so lazy~~~Well, I'll see if I can get on the whole daily blogging today...

Anyways! Day 4!

We were all so...lazy. The resort is ridiculously nice, like separate bathrooms, full kitchen with pots, dishes, utensils, etc., washer and dryer, a HUGE flat screen TV in every room with so many channels, and of course, Wi-Fi. So yeah, no one really wanted to go anywhere. Plus, it was so hot. Yay for AC. Eventually, we did go out to go to this outlet mall outside Las Vegas and it made me remember what ACTUAL malls should look like, not the dinky little shed back home. I didn't really see anything I liked, since I'm not a big clothes shopper, so I mostly followed my mom and my cousin around. If only they had a Gamestop or electronics or bookstore or SOMETHING, I would've been able to get what I needed...Like a working pair of headphones. You know, I find it amazing how long they can shop in Coach when 4/5ths of the store is just floor and all the merchandise only lines the walls. I guess I can't really say much, since I can spend forever in Gamestop or Borders.

Well, we came back and did a bit of grocery shopping since we have the kitchen. Woot to home-made food on vacation. ( ^o^ )

Hot pot for dinner~ <3

Day 5!

Uh...I did nothing. I literally did not step out of the hotel room all day. I wrote some of the fanfiction me and my friend started like...four years ago on a whim. I hope that doesn't make me seem like a HUGE fangirl, because I'm really not. The only time I fangirl is while reading Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and at the GazettE. Honestly.

So, I spent all day doing that, watching TV, being connected to the internet world in general, and playing Minecraft. I thought by now I would've gotten sick of that game but no matter what, I always find something to do on there that takes hours...Yeah...Maybe I shouldn't be the one hosting the server...But if my laptop explodes from it, I'll have a reason to get a new laptop, right? (evil laugh)

Random thoughts:

I haven't been sleeping at all here...I'll go to bed really late but always wake up really early. I don't think my body understands that when I'm extra tired, my internal alarm should not go off...I went to bed last night way earlier than I have and woke up even earlier than usual...(facepalm)

Maybe its because I'm not at home. I'm pretty sure this happened to me when I moved to college too.

I think today my parents plan on dragging us to Hoover Dam...Which I really don't see the point of. We take forever to drive there, look at the thing, then leave. I'd rather follow my mom through the Coach store again...

Oh, note to self: Buy a camera, because I really need one.

Video of the day! It is...(looks through playlists)...Lucifer by SHINee! I actually DON'T listen to them, but my friend does and I decided to look them up one day, so this is pretty much the only song I know from them. Its not bad, though I'm not a fan of their haircuts. At all. Sorry, I still love j-punk. (grin)

Vacation Days [ 1-3 ]

So I didn't have internet access till now, excluding the random bits of wi-fi when we were in restaurants and such, but now I can document my vacation! Yay!

So let's get started with Day 1!

Since I've been working everyday for the past two weeks, I haven't been doing much, but weekends have been good. ( ^-^ ) On Thursday, I got to leave work early and we all drove to Chicago to stay in my parents' friend's house, though it didn't wi-fi...but it did have a very nice TV with surround sound and movies. And a very, very comfy bed. Not much happened really...Well, my neck was sore because I was reading manga in the car on the way with my neck craned pretty low. Its only starting to feel better now.

Day 2!

Well, I didn't really sleep on day 1 because our flight was at 6 am and we had to leave for the airport at 4. I slept for...an hour and 45 minutes maybe? It was a little stressful because the cab driver couldn't find the house at all, despite having a GPS and my dad decided to just drive to the airport and shell out the money for the parking spot but just as we loaded everything into the car and pulled out, the cab found us and we had to unload and reload into THAT car. (facepalm)

Super long plane ride later, we immediately went to eat some good asian food and went to the mall to do a bit of shopping, though I didn't have money on me so I couldn't get anything...Uh...just ate food then and went to the hotel where I had no internet...I was a little sad to be honest.

And across the hall from my room (I was staying with my cousin and brother in one room and my parents had the other) my mom heard...you know..."noises" and asked us if it was the TV. Went to listen...nope, wasn't the TV. (laugh)

Day 3!

Went to eat more amazing food, did a little shopping, had some mango shaved ice, and then the dentist. The dentist back home kept telling me that I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled ASAP and that if I wanted my one crooked tooth straightened, I would have to get braces. I come to LA where the dentist is a good friend of my dad's and he tells me my wisdom teeth haven't even come out and that there's no rush AND he can straighten my tooth by adjusting my retainer. No wonder my parents like us coming here for the dentist instead.

After teeth cleaning, we went to the GREATEST ramen restaurant ever. Foo Foo Tei, I think its listed on google, is so amazing...Totally authentic Japanese food there, plus they have so much manga. ( ^-^ )

Then...the most boring car ride ever. It was only 3.5 hours to Las Vegas but oh my god it was boring. In most cars, you can find a slight comfortable piece of window sill or something to put your head on to sleep, but not the rented one we have...I also don't have a jacket so no make-shift pillow...I tried hard to sleep...but the bumpy road didn't help either...Well, now we're at the resort and wow...Its pretty much a condo...And internet! Yay! (thumbs up)

Random thoughts:

I realized these past few days I'm kind of a pessimist, since I tend to think of the worst case scenario...After having a talk with my cousin about how I'm not going to just die or something terrible is going to sweep the planet (I'm really messed up during my monthly times...hormones!), I realized I should think more positively and that there's really no point to worry about ridiculous things that can be avoided by being aware and such. I feel tons better too now that my monthly times of evil have passed. I'm going to enjoy life damn it! (fist pump)

Manga highlights:

Kaichou wa Maid-sama chapter 61 is out! And oh my god I was trying so hard not to squeal in the dentist's office! I was so anxious because I was at the climax of the chapter when it was my turn to get my teeth cleaned so I had something to look forward to, even if it was the last page. Fujiwara-sensei never ceases to amaze and cause me to go fangirl at the most inappropriate times...(laugh)

-SPOILER START-

Usui can't transfeeeeeer~~~ (>//<) We've waited so long for them to get together and now they will separate?! Unless Misaki transfers too...but that can't happen either! They'll probably work this out...Though I guess I expected this to happen since Usui and Misaki's family situations are so different...I wouldn't be surprised if Usui really had a fiancee and such. Ah, Fujiwara-sensei, please continue doing your fine work. (bow)

-SPOILER END-

And now the video of the night is Dance With The Devil by Breaking Benjamin. I'm not sure if I've put a non-asian MV on here...First for everything! ( ^-^ ) I was going to put Untouched by The Veronicas because that was what I listened to on the car ride here but no embedding was allowed...Anywho, my friend from the lovely country of Canada showed this to me, thanks Moko!
