Saturday...Saturday was the big day of the con. Well, of course it was, since its the only full 24 hour day of the con. The problem with me going to these things is the fact that its hard to remember everything that happened with the lack of sleep, general chaos, and distractions! I tried playing Taiko again but I think they changed the game so all the songs were new and a lot harder. Oh well, I did okay anyway. Speaking of games, we found a game called "Sneak King" where you play as the super creepy Burger King and walk around giving food to people and hiding to surprise them. Creepiest game ever...
The con felt like a con on Saturday: me and Cindy (and Dan this time) walked around between the vendor's room, the anime rooms, and the video game room. It was a little slower and harder this time around because I wore Danbo but I also got a lot of pictures! ( ^.^ ) A lot of people were confused by my cosplay, though, thinking its just a cardboard robot and not a character from a manga. A girl was squealing about how cute Danbo was and her friend said, "Calm down, its just cardboard, its not that funny." But the first girl told her "No one asked for your opinion!" It made me smile. (laugh)
As usual, we stayed up all night and watched anime, but I don't remember really watching because I fell asleep. I can't believe I got away with it because there was this one guy who was snoring really loud in the evening and from what I heard, it took seven people to wake him up. He got told to wake up twice after that and they threatened them to kick him out if he kept sleeping. So fast forward to 5 AM and I arranged my chairs so it made a bed and I laid down on it to sleep. I don't know if they didn't care or just didn't see me because I was wearing black or something, but I didn't get yelled at~ (fist pump)
But before that, we went to Tabletop Games because people mentioned my friend Derek was playing Mahjong in there and since I've been wanting to play with people and not just computers for a long time, I decided to join in. I finally learned Japanese style Mahjong and we ended up playing a single game from midnight all the way to 4 AM. It was surprisingly fun, and we met the guy Andrew who ran it. We even played for the second half of Sunday of the con.
Hmm...Maybe I'll remember more things later, but I'm so tired right now...(sigh)
Oh! Naturally, me and Cindy played the shopping game where if I want to buy something, she'll say she'll buy something if I do, and vice versa. We ended up both getting a figure of Ichigo in his final Getsuga Tenshou form. I haven't read this far, and probably never will, but it just looked so cool and the vendor remembered us and even gave us a $1 discount. It was mostly as a joke, but she said she would probably remember it as a running gag and even on Sunday, she gave us $1 discounts for every item we bought. (laugh)
I also asked how she started to run a vendors business like this and after talking about how I wanted to go to cons and be a vendor, she asked for my number and said she would contact me if they were ever short on people. ( ^^ )
Here's a picture of my new figure and Lucky Star wristband (I'll add pictures of my other purchases later):

NoBrand Con 2012! Pt. 1
So as usual, its been a while since I've blogged, but I think its to be expected by now, huh? I always wonder who reads my posts, if anybody does, because no one ever leaves a comment on here or Facebook (where it gets posted automatically). Who knows, maybe I just talk to no one. (laugh)
What's happened lately? Not much, now that I think about it. I'm glad I finally picked my major (computer science, software engineering emphasis) so that's a huge relief, but along with that, I also got denied by UW-Madison again. I swear, they're just too uptight about their students. Maybe I'll try again next semester. Its just so expensive to apply though. Hmm...Oh, finals are next, next week, so that will be fun...I think my last final is my Japanese one at 3 PM on Friday or something, so I won't be able to go home until the last minute. Great.
But that's not what I'm talking about today! This weekend is NoBrand Con! I just went today (trying to remember everything at 2:38 AM...) and for some reason, it just doesn't feel like I've been at a con. It's probably because I didn't go into the vendor's room yet. I finished my Danbo cosplay with time to spare and as much as I love it, its so hard to wear! I only wore it for five minutes and walked down a hallway before I could feel my legs cramping and sweat dripping down my back. (shudder) After about two hours of not being able to see well or sit, I took it back to the car and came back to my dorm to shower. At least I got to wear SEXPOT ReVeNGe clothes the rest of the day. ( ^^ )
I also got to play Taiko Drum Master again~ I haven't played in...probably a year and since the video game room is so loud, I couldn't really hear the music but after a few rounds, the highest levels on hard were getting too easy. It was great because while I was playing this one song (was also sight-reading because I don't own that version of the game) a girl behind me was telling me how awesome I was and that she couldn't figure out the game at all. Made me feel a little ( o^^o ).
Hopefully if I wear Danbo Saturday evening I'll have a better time, now that I know what to expect and all. I think I won't enter it into the contest though, because I doubt I would win, and having to stand and wait around for my turn sounds very painful.
Well, right now, everyone else is asleep and I'm hoping my typing isn't keeping anyone up...Oh well, good night.
But! Video of the night is...Mass Destruction from the game Persona 3! My friend Shanan recently bribed me to buy it with a salad (I was really hungry and they had gone out so he picked me up one, saying it was free if I bought the game, which ended up being $3 more expensive than the salad), and I like it so...yeah.

Spring!
Okay, I don't love spring as much as the title may suggest, but the sunny weather is definitely welcome. The only thing I don't like about spring is when it rains, the sidewalks are invaded by multiple worm armies. Come on, fishers, get those off the streets! ( >_< )
It really has a been a while since I blogged, hm? I don't think anyone reads these posts, but if just one does, then I'll be happy. ( n_n )
I feel like not a lot has happened really...I ended up buying those SEXPOT ReVeNGe clothes! The price was so ridiculous but I was willing to accept it...problem was FEDEX (well, more the government) taxed me $88 to bring it into the country. Blegh. What's worse, the tax was only 50 something, but FEDEX charged me $25 because I had to pay them to open my package, inspect, and price the tax. (facepalm)
I love the clothes though, so I guess its okay. Now I just have to remember to use the points I accumulated on CDJapan before they expire...So many have already expired. (cry)
Hmm...Well, classes have been okay, but most of them are so boring and monotonous I tend to fall asleep...I really do try to pay attention though! My history class is especially hard to stay away in because my professor has a heavy Mexican accent that's really hard to understand and his lectures don't make sense with his constant tangents (he started talking about his raspberries and craisins once...).
Speaking of classes, today I didn't have my morning Japanese class because groups are taking turns doing their oral exams and since mine is tomorrow, I didn't have to go, so I've been doing homework all day. Physics takes so long to do~ I still have to read all the chapters for history and in the evening work with my partner to prepare for our oral exam...Ah! So much to doooooo! ( @.@ )
Me writing this blog post totally isn't an excuse to procrastinate the inevitable...
What else...Oh, yesterday was International Culture Night! Japanese Culture Society (JCS) put on a take on the matrix Kung Fu video that's online from that Japanese game show with all the black ninjas in the background working the props and stuff. I suggested the idea so I could be a black ninja but I ended up so busy I didn't do it. I had to make the props, figure out some of the choreography, deal with lighting...ON THE NOTE OF LIGHTING! I spent a while perfecting the stage lighting so the ninjas would be practically invisible and I was so happy with it but when we went on the stage, the crew messed it up even though I told them how it would be an hour earlier. (sigh) It must have been a different guy doing lighting...The entire auditorium ended up brightly lit even though we were the one group that needed everything dark. (head desk)
Oh well...People still said it looked good though, and apparently being able to see the ninjas made it funnier. ( = , = )
Anything else...? I plan to get 7 ear piercings to cosplay NANA, though I'm still working on actually going...And I've been breaking out in hives everyday for the past few months...They seemed to have stopped the past two days after I started avoiding dairy products but if that really is the cause, I'll be super sad if I'm allergic to dairy...ICE CREEEEEEAM~~~~~~~ ( TT.TT )
And I'm starting to look forward to going to Japan this July! I don't know what to expect............Ahhhhhh~~~
Anywho, video for today iiiiiiiiiiiiiis....Well, there's two. I had one planned but then I started to listen to another song while I was writing this.
First is Blue Velvet by Japanese Rap group MIDICRONICA (love them~~~~).
Second is Ai Lai Guo by S.H.E., recorded for the drama Bullfighting that Hebe stars in. A definite must-watch~
